About Foreign Credit Card authenticated transaction
We are processing MPI and CVV2 authenticated transaction to minimize transaction cancel due to fraud use of foreign credit cards.
1) MPI, payment method of applying VISA 3D Secure to foreign credit card, is processing payment by receiving confirm value of cardholder’s authentication from card issuer.
2) CVV2/CVC code authentication is processing payment with 3 digits number next to card number on back of credit card additionally entered.
Above two authentication methods are applied to foreign payment system since September 2007, only authenticated transactions can complete authorization. Thus, transaction without going through authentication cannot acquire authorization.
This authentication method is applied to all merchants using foreign transaction, so merchant who does not want authenticated transaction should contact our company.
